Abstract

The production of sugar, a food item in high demand in the country, requires the production of raw material. The cultivation tasks, which are technological norms of great importance, are carried out to achieve this end and as part of the investigations that are being carried out within the framework of the Cuba-Venezuela agreement, an investigation was carried out with the CATCA 08 brand subsoiler, with the aim of to determine the energy costs, the 130 HP Belarus 1221 brand tractor was used as an energy source to form the whole. The methodologies proposed by various actors were used to establish the total hourly energy cost (EST) of the group, which amounts to 343.15 MJ/h. The most important energy source was total energy costs, which depend to a greater extent on energy sequestered in fuel (ESc); with it represents 70.39%, the total hourly energy cost (EST) of the set amounts to 343.15 MJ / h, the total hourly energy costs per unit of area worked (ESha) for the set, amount to 492.32 MJ/ha.
